- Book Launch: Engage (Fall 2025)
Announcing the newly released book, Engage: A Community Zine
Congratulations to the 20+ authors who contributed to this compilation zine! The collective entries of student and employee submissions make up the book titled Engage: A Community Zine. This book was a publishing project co-sponsored by Engage and the James E. Walker Library at Middle Tennessee State University and is the fifth book for the MT Open Press imprint.

What is a zine?
Zines (pronounced “zeens” like in magazines) are a type of publication that can represent various viewpoints, narrative styles, and artistic media. Zines come in many different formats and styles: from computer-printed text, comics, and collages to handwritten/drawn text or images. To learn more about zines, see our original call for contributions.
What is this book about?
This community zine centers on the theme of engagement, where we encourage you to explore our connections to the histories, landscapes, and people on campus and in our wider communities through poems, photography, essays, short stories, historical facts, and even puzzles!
