Among the observations from these graphs, it is obvious there was a spike in the total number of farms between 1860 and 1880 and then again from 1890 and 1900 (hover over these dates to see the corresponding population). This type of observation can lead to further investigation and analysis on the possible transformations taking place that would generate such increases in farm production.
